I have a credit card in which I am being charged 17.99% interest on $5,600. The minimum that I owe is $144.00 due Dec. 30th (by tomorrow). I recently got hired for a job and I start today (and get paid two weeks from now). TO AVOID late fees and perhaps an increase in interest rate as well, would freezing my credit card be in my best interest?Thank you!

I have confirmed that they do have my correct address. Any suggestions about how I should sort this problem of not getting letters which they claim they have sent out and how I can get the late fee back? Thanks.
