This is so awesome that I had to type the title twice.  Borders evened up the WiFi wars with Barnes & Nobles recently by inking a deal with Verizon.  Free Wi-Fi service will be provided to anyone that has a wifi-enabled device in practically all of its 500 Borders stores nationwide. (SOURCE)

You all know what that means!  Your ability to find a seat in the cafe will go from virtually impossible to THE IMPOSSIBLE.  So get their early to reserve your table before the other Barnacles show up.

The plans are well underway and are expected to be finished by mid-October.  I wouldn’t be surprised if your local borders is already equipped and running.
