I have tried crazy diets, and they usually last a couple weeks, then I go back to eating crap! What is something more realistic and long term and healthy....something that I can keep up with. I want to loose about 50 pounds in 3 months. Thanks

You aught to try a martial art like Capoeira, then you'll have a good workout.

Nothing can ever replace the workout consisting of all natural movements.

Working out will certainly enlarge the muscle but will "teach" the muscle to perform doing only that same motion and not dynamically.

Try swimming (butterfly) and soccer, you'll get built like a brick.

@Jeff - The whole CrossFit regimen has been growing rapidly. I was introduced to it almost 2 years ago and have been following it ever since. It's good to know that there are other personal finance guys out there other than me that CrossFit.

I like the PC to Mac comparison. I followed CrossFit years ago. I've been thinking about getting back into it, I might just have to now. I guess people are monitizing CrossFit now. When I did it, it was all about using simple gear and setting up a very cheap gym at home. The main point was to do it quick, get the benefits, and get on with your life. Going to a "CrossFit" gym was NEVER an option. As with all good things, things change :-)

Good luck with it.
