Zen’s Personal Christmas TO DO and NOT TO DO List
Christmas is my favorite holiday hands down with a high five! It’s the only time of year when I’m okay to go into the RED in terms of my monthly budget to get the most awesome gift I can for the ones I love. I know gift-giving should be a year round activity, but I take major holidays as another excuse to throw a party and get everyone together. So whatever the message the holiday conveys, you betcha I’ll be participating (And yes, that even includes the artificial retail holiday we call “Valentine’s Day”).
Here’s my 2009 PERSONAL Christmas TO DO and NOT TO DO list to follow.
TO DO
1) Try some egg nog.
I’m probably not missing much but apparently I used to like it as a kid. I stopped drinking it after I was told what it was made of. I’ve since forgotten the taste so may be time to reacquaint myself with it.
2) EAT until it becomes uncomfortable and DRINK like there is no such thing as a hangover.
Because we all need to increase our baseline before the annual “I’m going to lose weight” New Year’s resolution.
3) Help out with party preparation and clean up.
I think it’s time for me to give back instead of reaping the benefits of being a lazy ass.
4) Wake up bright and early.
Something I fail to accomplish every major holiday.
5) Acknowledge the presence of anyone that makes eye contact with me in the form of a smile, simple “hello”, or nod.
Something I should always be doing.
NOT TO DO
1) Check my email.
My email will always be there 364 other days of the year.
2) Complain.
About anything.
3) Sleep early.
Unless I’m next to the fireplace, I get “food coma”, or there is absolutely nothing else to do.
4) Be forgettable.
I’m gonna make this Christmas count by being part of the party rather than being a forgettable wallflower.
5) Sign onto ANY computer.
Like #1, there are 364 other days in the year to do this.
6) Talk about anything related to this website.
Someone dared me to do this. It will be good for me and for my company. Talking about blogging to those uninterested is a guaranteed “Snooze Fest”.

What’s on your PERSONAL TO DO and NOT TO DO list? It could be silly or serious. It really doesn’t matter.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year

I have to admit, I did sign on to Facebook! Other than that, I didn’t check email or any of your other don’ts!
How do you say ‘We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year’ in Hindi?
People who have knowlege of Goa, Pl.suggest the best Area to stay where famous beaches and main areas of Goa are nearby. I want to stay in 4/5 star hotel. Pl. suggest the best hotels and also which are the main beaches/places to visit. Thanks in advance
With a Blackberry it makes not checking e-mails VERY difficult!
For example, it is mandatory that I watch Grinch, Mr. Bean’s Christmas, and Frosty the Snowman; who, by the way, is starting to remind me of the Elizabeth Smart case in a creepier sort of way.
haha, i loved your not to do list, real inspiring
apartments in united states´s last blog ..Zeli Realty Corporation NY
well for my boyfriend of two months, for christmas i got him the Rubik’s cube slide (because he loves Rubik’s cubes) and i got him an aeropostale shirt because he loves that sore. but i would like to do something a little more personal and sweet,
Which is an awesome concept. I need to list out plenty of report for different tasks, but I can toss away 80% of the printouts after several several weeks – if I could use all this report up to 5 periods, this would be definitely great.
Now this is awesome!! I need one of these for when my sweetheart will not quit discussing over the top of me, perhaps it’ll get her to pay attention a bit more! Haha
